The airline added 10 new destinations and is offering flights from coast to coast starting at $50 one way
The new low-cost airline Breeze Airways announced a few months ago that massive upgrades were coming this year and the company kept its promise.
This week, the carrier added 35 new routes for the summer and 10 new destinations in the United States: San Francisco, Los Angeles, Las Vegas, San Bernardino, Jacksonville, Fort Myers, Sarasota/Bradenton, Savannah, Nashville, and Syracuse.
Breeze Airways is offering flights from coast to coast starting at $50 one way or $99 roundtrip, with comfortable space, and unique upgrade possibilities also for a very competitive price in the market.
The airline recently equipped its fleet with 80 new airbuses model A220 —a new eco-friendly model with advanced aerodynamics— with a capacity for up to 160 passengers. The other models —currently operating—on the fleet are Embraer E190 and E195 jets, used for short routes.
Breeze’s Founder and CEO David Neeleman—also JetBlue Airways’ founder—, explained that the new aircrafts were a “game-changer” for the company and said: “With the A220, Breeze is giving our Guests the widest cabin, highest ceiling, largest windows, and biggest overhead stowage in this class, while still managing to burn 25% less fuel, with half the noise footprint of past generations.”
In the summer, Breeze Airways will be serving 77 routes—the new routes will start operating between May and August— connecting a total of 28 cities across 18 states in the US.
About The Service, Prices and New Routes
The main attraction is, of course, the promotional prices the company is offering. But the service is also one of the company’s main focuses. Breeze Airlines used the “seriously nice” slogan on their marketing campaigns because they want to stand out as an upgraded low-cost carrier and are using the word “nice” for the classification of their seat class names.
Nice seats cover only the basic service and travelers are allowed to take only one personal item. The Nicer fare includes more legroom, a carry-on bag, a checked bag, drink and snacks, and priority boarding. The Nicest fare includes 2 checked bags, first-class seats, more BreezePoints, and drinks and snacks.
There are special routes that make Breeze Airlines stand out in price and service. For example, Breeze Airlines’ direct flight from Los Angeles (LAX) to Savannah (SAV) offers tickets starting at $198 roundtrip, with upgrade options: to Nicer starting at $378 roundtrip, and Nicest at $398. According to today’s research on Google Flights, this same route, around the same dates, starts at $430 roundtrip on economy class, including one-stop.
In May the carrier will start serving Jacksonville, Nashville, and San Francisco. Tickets for routes between Jacksonville and Richmond, Columbus, New Orleans, and Norfolk start at just $49 one way with an upgrade option to Nicer from $99.
There’s even a route from Nashville to Akron/Canton —which starts operating in May as well— with one-way tickets starting at $39 and Nicer seats at $89. Flights from San Francisco to Richmond, Charleston, and Louisville will start at $99 one way in Nice, $189 in Nicer, and just $199 in Nicest class.
Later in June, Las Vegas, Savannah, Los Angeles, Syracuse, and Sarasota/Bradenton will start operating and by August all destinations will be active. The new cities added by the airline will connect:
- Jacksonville, FL, to Richmond, Columbus, New Orleans, Providence, Norfolk, Hartford, and Las Vegas.
- Las Vegas, NV, to Richmond, Syracuse, FortMyers, Charleston, Jacksonville, Norfolk, Huntsville.
- Savannah, GA, to Hartford, Providence, Columbus, Los Angeles, and Norfolk.
- Nashville, TN, to Akron/Canton, Tulsa, Hartford, and Oklahoma City.
- San Francisco, CA, to Richmond, Charleston, Louisville, and San Bernardino.
- Los Angeles, CA, to Providence, Norfolk, and Savannah.
- Fort Myers, FL, to Las Vegas and Charleston.
- Syracuse, NY, to Las Vegas and Charleston.
- San Bernardino, CA, to San Francisco.
- Sarasota/Bradenton, FL, to Hartford.
